Metalex Appoints Full Time Lean Facilitator
Metalex has recently created and appointed the position of a Continuous Improvement Manager. This person working in conjunction with upper management and the Vice President of Lean Manufacturing of our parent company, Jason Inc is in charge of identifying, organizing and leading Kaizen lean events though out the plant. Metalex will be using a five-day Kaizen methodology for its events. Events currently in process are the implementation of a 5S program through out the plant and focus on set-up reduction.
Metalex purchases equipment to better support air filtration customers.
Almost all manufacturers of air filtration have volume requirements for conical shaped air filters. In order to better support this key customer group, Metalex has purchased new equipment to economically and efficiently produce the finished conical blank.
Many customers currently make these in-house in an inefficient, cumbersome manner. This new Metalex capability should be well received by many existing as well as prospective customers.
